July 2013 Through December 2013 College Football Archives

Chick-fil-A Bowl Preview: The Duke Blue Devils have had a very nice season and surpassed all expectations by even the most astute college football handicappers. They're "up against it" on New Year's Even though as they won't have an answer for Johnny Football and crew as TAMU'S offense is just too dynamic for Duke to handle. Duke Blue Devils vs. Texas AM Aggies Pick. (8PM EST) - 12/31

Alamo Bowl Preview and Prediction: Imagine being a kid and thinking that you're going to get a shiny new toy for Christmas and you open it up and it's a dog turd! That's exactly what I expect the mindset of the young players of the Oregon Ducks to be on December 30th as nothing less than a BCS title game was acceptable this year. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Horns won this game straight up. Expect a huge letdown here folks. Texas Longhorns vs. Oregon Ducks Pick (6:45PM EST) - 12/30

Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl Preview: Michigan Wolverines QB Devin Gardner has been ruled out of this game with a toe injury. Big Blue is missing a few other players as well. I liked KSU before hearing this and I like them even more now! Michigan Wolverines vs. Kansas State Wildcats Pick. (10:15PM EST) - 12/28

Attn Euro Punters! Check out these great reasons to play at Mr. Green!

Fight Hunger Bowl Analysis: One has to wonder what the effect will be on the Huskies now that coach Steve Sarkisian has taken the job at USC and won't be on the sidelines with the team. After all, he was seemingly the reason this team was brought back to respectability. BYU is underrated and always puts up a maximumm effort. The wiseguys already have their bets down at +3 while the public is hammering Washington. Washington Huskies vs. BYU Cougars Pick. (9:30PM EST) - 12/27

2013 Poinsettia Bowl Preview: I was one of the people who thought that the Utah St. Aggies were in trouble when they lost QB Chuckie Keeton to injury and I was dead wrong. This team just keeps on plugging away. They come into their Poinsettia Bowl game as skinny 1.5 underdogs which offers some great value. Utah State Aggies vs. Northern Illinois Huskies Pick. (9:30PM EST) - 12/26

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Analysis: At the request of our readers, we're doing a preview for this game but this isn't a solid play by any means as this is a game where truly anything can happen and I've got to be honest here... I'm actually more looking forward to them showing the islands during the game than I am actually watching the game. Anybody who has been to Hawaii knows what I'm talking about! Aloha! Oregon State Beavers vs. Boise State Broncos Pick. (8PM EST) - 12/24

Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Preview: One has to wonder how motivated the USC Trojans will be for this game. I've seen them flop before when playing in a game in which they're not excited to be there. This low line reflects the bookmaker's same opinion as well, as Fresno St. has a pretty poor defense to sustain a +5.5 line vs. a bigger school with 3x as many skill players. In betting, when something looks too good to be true, it probably is! Don't get caught up in this fly trap! USC Trojans vs. Fresno State Bulldogs Pick. (3:30PM EST) - 12/21

Week 15 ACC Championship Game Preview: Duke has had a great season and hasn't gotten much respect in doing so. Putting football aside, all of the issues going on surrounding the Jameis Winston legal problems have to be creating issues in this kids head. Duke comes in as a 5 score underdog and I believe there's good value here with an underrated team and the legal issues looming. Duke Blue Devils vs. Florida State Seminoles Pick (8PM EST) - 12/7

Week 15 Big Ten Championship: Michigan St. is getting a lot of respect here as only +5.5 underdogs. I expect a low scoring affair here and while I'm making a pick on this game, I don't recommend betting it as there is little to no wagering value. Michigan State Spartans vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Pick. (8:17PM EST) - 12/7

Week 15 SEC Championship: It's nothing short of a miracle that this game is being played without the Alabama Crimson Tide as a participant. Preseason pundits would have said it'd be unfathomable prior to the season starting. But, here we are with two sets of Tigers battling it out in what should be a very competitive game. Missouri is probably the best team in college football that you never hear about. Missouri Tigers vs. Auburn Tigers Pick. (4PM EST) - 12/7

Week 14 Florida State/Florida Preview: You may never see a 28 point spread between these teams for the rest of your life. FSU has been like a bowling ball vs pins and Florida has had their worst season in many moons. 28 points is a ton in a game that could be considered a rivalry. Pride will be on the line Saturday afternoon in Gainesville! Florida State Seminoles vs. Florida Gators Pick (Noon EST) - 11/30

Week 14 Big Ten Rivalry: What is usually a giant rivarly game, might possibly be a dud as Michigan has dropped 4 of their last 6 games and is on life support. OSU looks to win their 23rd straight game and will be highly motivated to increase their chances of getting into the best BCS bowl possible. Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines Pick. (Noon EST) - 11/30

Week 14 SEC Clash: This game probably won't be as easy as most think. Bama has been streamrolling through the SEC and have even beaten up Auburn badly over their last couple of contests, yet the line is only 10.5. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers Pick (3:30PM EST) - 11/30

Week 13: We're tied up this week on some big projects so don't have time to provide game previews, HOWEVER, we will of course be making picks. Please check out our Week Thirteen plays here: Free Weekly College Football Picks. - 11/23

Week 12 Saturday College Football Pick: Hawaii Warriors +4. - 11/16

Week 12 Friday Night Lights: I've got a pretty good feel for who is going to cover in this game, but make no doubt about it... Pac 12 games can be crazy and this isn't going to come easy! Washington Huskies vs. UCLA Bruins Pick (9PM EST) - 11/15

Week 12 Thursday Night College Football Clash; Anybody else notice something fishy about this point spread? Las Vegas wasn't built on winners. Expect a fishy result here. One SEC insider that I know told me he wouldn't be surprised to see Ga. Tech upset Clemson. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Clemson Tigers Pick. (7:30PM EST) - 11/14

Week 11 Saturday SEC Clash: Bama finally plays a team with some defense! These two teams usually play each other really tough and this will undoubtedly be the most exciting college tilt of the weekend! LSU Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Pick. (8PM EST) - 11/9

Week 11 Friday College Football Game Preview (LV/UCONN) This game is likely to be a bloodbath. Louisville will surely have their ears pinned back to avenge a 20-23 loss last year. UConn has been pretty hapless this year. Their top score this season is a meager 21 points. We hate to give away the pick prior to you checking out the article, but hey, what more can you say about this Friday night dud? Get strategic. Take your wife out to a nice dinner and a movie Friday and buy yourself soem time to watch games all day Saturday. Hell, that may be why they scheduled this game in the first place! A true mid-season wife bailout play! Louisville Cardinals vs. Connecticut Huskies Pick (8:30PM EST) - 11/8

Week 11 Thursday Big 12 College Football Showdown: There shouldn't be any shortage of offense as OU rolls into Baylor. It's nothing short of a crime that we're not all hearing Lache Seastrunk's name brought up during Heisman Hopeful talks! This amazing RB will be exposed Thursday night in a game that may end up being more exciting the the Oregon/Stanford game! Oklahoma Sooners vs. Baylor Bears Pick. (7:30PM EST) - 11/7

Week 11 Thursday Night Pac 12 Clash: Oregon leaves the friendly confines of Autzen Stadium to head south for a big-time Pac 12 college football matchup in which the Ducks will have revenge on their minds from last year's OT thriller where the Ducks lost 14-17 on their home turf. Oregon Ducks vs. Stanford Cardinal Pick. (9PM EST) - 11/7

Week 10 Saturday ACC Clash: FSU is ranked 3rd in the nation but one has to wonder if there's any team (right now) that could knock them off. Yes, Bama is good but can you honestly say with a straight face that they would beat up Florida St? I don't think so! This team is hitting their stride and I full expect them to absolutely roast a Miami team that will be exposed on multiple levels. Miami Hurricanes vs. Florida State Seminoles Pick. (8PM EST) - 11/2

Week 10 Pac 12 Friday Night Lights: The Trojans seem to have a renewed sense of pride since Lane Kiffin was let go and Ed Orgeron took over. The Beavers are coming off a tough home loss vs. a very tough (and big) Stanford team. USC will give OSU all they can handle in this prime time game. USC Trojans vs. Oregon State Beavers Pick (9PM EST) - 11/1

Week 10 Pac 12 Halloween Night Spooktacular: The Cougars put up a valiant effort last week against the Ducks and even looked good at times but Loot thinks ASU is too much for WSU to handle. Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Washington State cougars Pick. (10:30PM EST) - 10/31

Saturday Week 9 Big Ten Clash: There's a nice story brewing at Penn St. with the resurgence of the team after having to deal with the ugly Jerry Sandusky debacle. QB Christian Hackenberg is the real deal. This will be a tough matchup for him though as the horseshoe is no easy venue for a freshman to play in. Furthermore, one has to wonder how strong the spine of this PSU team is after seeing Central Florida go into their home stadium and beat them. Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Pick (8PM EST) - 10/26

Saturday Week 9 Vols/Tide Preview: Tennessee gets Ha Ha Clinton-Dix back this week but will it be enough to put up a fight vs. the dominating Tide? Bama has been making a statement by steamrolling conference opponents. The line opened up at 28 and has dropped to 27.5. Loot gives his take here: Tennessee Volunteers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Pick (3:30PM EST) - 10/26

Saturday Week 9 Pac 12 Clash: Can the Oregon Ducks be stopped? It doesn't get any easier for the Bruins as the Quack Attack returns injured speedstater De'Anthony Thomas Saturday. UCLA Bruins vs. Oregon Ducks Pick. (7PM EST) - 10/26

Friday Week 9 College Football Preview: This was originally going to be a pretty good Friday night game until Broncos QB Joe Southwick was lost to injury. You won't find any unhappy BYU players/fans unhappy though as the loss makes the Cougars a clear-cut favorite in this matchup. Boise State Broncos vs. BYU Cougars Pick. (8PM EST) - 10/25

Thursday Week 9 NCAA Football Preview: Not the most exciting prime time matchup you'll ever watch but the worst game of football surely beats the best day at work! Kentucky Wildcats vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs Pick. (7:30PM EST) - 10/24

Saturday Game of the Week: We've been anticipating this matchup for weeks! While the game doesn't offer much betting value, the game should be one of the best of the season. Loot does have an opinion on who he thinks will win and cover though! Florida State Seminoles vs. Clemson Tigers Pick (8PM EST) - 10/19

Saturday Week 8 SEC Battle: One player doesn't make a team, but one has to wonder how much effect the loss of Ole Miss LB Robert Nkemdiche will have on the Rebels Saturday. LSU Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels Pick. (7PM EST) - 10/19

Big Ten Matchup: The Hawkeyes have had some very week opponents to start the season and will be exposed on Saturday by an OSU team that is starting to hit their groove. Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Pick. (3:30PM EST) - 10/19

Friday Barking Dog: It seems that every season there are a handful of teams that just don't get any respect, regardless of what they accomplish. This season, that team is the UCF Knights. You've got to love a team getting +12.5 points that has a legit shot of winning this game straight up! Central Florida Knights vs. Louisville Cardinals Pick. - (8PM EST) - 10/18

Thursday Night ACC Battle: Miami Miami is playing lights out and UNC is underperforming. The question here is if the Heels can keep up with the high scoring Canes. Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tar Heels Pick (7:30PM EST) - 10/17

Tuesday Night Sun Belt Action: Tuesday night football is a great way to kick off a new week, despite it being two teams that nobody gives a damn about! While even our reach doesn't normally go this deep, we handicapped the teams and have a preview for you! UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Pick (8PM EST) - 10/15

Saturday SEC Betting Value: On the outside looking in, many view this game as being another Tide romp. On the other hand, Loot see's this giant point spread as a tremendous betting opportunity. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Kentucky Wildcats Pick. - (7PM EST) - 10/12

Saturday Week 7 Pac 12 Thriller: There's a handful of good games this weekend but none that may be as exciting as Oregon traveling north to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies. Oregon has flattened all of their opponents and this will be their biggest test to date. Washington looked strong at Stanford last week and will give the University of Oregon all they can handle. Don't be left holding a losing betting ticket on this thriller! Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies Pick. - (4PM EST) - 10/12

Week 7 Friday Night AAC Action: Many will head to the betting window looking to hammer down on the Bearcats Friday night. Keep in mind that the current tricky spread of -21.5 sounds like three touchdowns, but is actually four scores. Yes, Temple sucks, but 4 scores is a ton. Especially for a Temple team that always seems to bring their best against top notch opponents. Temple Owls vs. Cincinnati Bearcats Pick (8:30PM EST) - 10/11

Week 7 Thursday Night Football: Who scheduled this one for prime time? But seriously, I think that we can all agree that the worst bettable college football matchup is better than the best day at work! Welcome to Mountain West Football! San Diego State Aztecs vs. Air Force Falcons Pick. (9PM EST) - 10/10

Saturday Bug Meets Windshield: Don't expect any cinderalla story here! Bama's third stringers could beat Ga. St. handily. While possible, it's improbable that Bama covers this monster spread as Nick Saban isn't the type of coach to run up the score on small-time opponent. Georgia State Panthers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Pick. (12:21PM EST) - 10/5

Saturday Big Ten Clash: Fishy point spread anyone? As a general rule of thumb in sports betting, when a spread looks too good to be true, it probably is! Expect a TIGHT game between these teams. There are no gimme's in football betting! Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Northwestern Wildcats Pick. (8PM EST) - 10/5

Friday Night Lights: You might want to take your wife out to dinner Friday night to buy yourself some weekend football watching time. Whoever scheduled this game for primetime should be fired! These erratic teams are somewhat evenly matched, but Loot says one team's defense (or lack thereof) will be the deciding factor. Nevada Wolfpack vs. San Diego State Aztecs Pick. (9PM EST) - 10/4

Thursday PAC 12 Action: UCLA is playing inspired ball after losing a fallen teammate. They're not bad either, as QB Brett Hundley poses all kinds of problems for opposing defenses. Utah is no slouch either, nor is any offense lead by the brilliant mind of Dennis Erickson. UCLA Bruins vs. Utah Utes Pick. (10/3 at 10PM EST)

Thursday Big 12 Tilt: The buzz amongst Vegas sharps is that they can't believe Texas is even favored here. ISU CAN win this game straight up, leaving many viewing this game as an upset, while the sharp community won't be surprised at all. Texas Longhorns vs. Iowa State Cyclones Pick. (10/3 at 7:30PM EST)

Saturday College Football Picks: Hawaii Warriors +17.5 and New Mexico St. +17.5. - 9/28

Friday Night College Football Preview: San Jose St. presents us with some great value Friday night as the public has their Week 4 butt whoopin' at the hands of the Minnesota Golden Gophers fresh on their minds. San Jose St. is NOT a bad team and they WILL give Utah St. a run for their money. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they won straight up! Utah State Aggies vs. San Jose State Spartans Pick. (9/27 at 9PM EST)

Thursday Night Football: Paul Johnson has done a great job early on with this Georgia Tech team. Beamer and company don't look as dominant as in year's past, however, oddsmakers are giving the Yellow Jackets a bit much respect here. Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Pick. (9/26 at 7:30PM EST)

Tigers vs. Tigers: Auburn and Gus Malzahn are in rebuild mode. The Tigers from Auburn appear to be on the upswing but "the other Tigers" also have a new weapon in Cam Cameron who appears to have given a boost to LSU's struggling offense. Auburn Tigers vs. LSU Tigers Pick. (9/21 at 7:45PM EST)

High Scoring Affair: Yardage will be piling up for both teams Saturday when June Jones and Garret Gilbert visit College Station on Saturday. Johnny Manziel looked great last week against Bama. Expect more of the same this week but don't be so quick to put money on him! SMU Mustangs vs. Texas A&M Aggies Pick. (9/21 at 7PM EST)

Tide Cake Walk: It's tough to get excited about a CSU/Bama game, but with a spread of 39.5 makes it a bit spicy. Did you know that only about 1/3rd of games with spreads over -32 cover the spread? (historically) Colorado State Rams vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Pick (9/21 at 7PM EST)

Bloodbath! Am I the only one that is outraged that Ohio St. would schedule such a creampuff? I've always thought that the worst day of football is 10x better than the best day at work, but I'm second guessing that equation! The question here is will OSU score, 60, 70 or 80 points. It all depends on which side of the bed Urban Meyer wakes up on. The other question is will FAMU even score? My prediction is NO. For the first time in a long time, I might actually sleep in as this game is surely a snoozer... Unless you're a bully! Florida A&M Rattlers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Pick. (9/21 at Noon EST)

Friday Night Lights: Boise St. has taken down Fresno St. 7 straight times. We think that trend ends this week! This Boise team lacks the explosiveness of year's past. I watched their game vs. Air Force last week and wasn't impressed. Furthermore, Fresno State's game in Colorado was cancelled last week due to flooding so they're rested. The Bulldogs have great value here! Boise State Broncos vs. Fresno State Bulldogs Pick. (9/20 at 9PM EST)

Thursday Night ACC Matchup: Tahj Boyd is a special player and this Clemson team can score quickly in a number of different ways. As a general rule of thumb, it's not a wise move to lay points on the road in a featured game such as this one. The difference maker here will be that North Carolina St. will get down and not be able to score enough points to get back in the game due to their style of play. Clemson Tigers vs. North Carolina State Wolfpack Pick. (9/19 at 7:30PM EST)

Will Braxton Miller Play? I'm not really sure it matters. Cal looks horrible. They barely got by a WEAK Portland State Vikings team and gave up a ton of points to Northwestern. Loot isn't a big fan of buying points, but this spread has some shine to it at -14. Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Cal Golden Bears Pick (9/14 at 7PM EST)

Ducks First Test: The Oregon Ducks have absolutely blasted their first two opponents in Nicholls St. and Virginia. The competition turns up a notch this week as the Vols of Tennessee roll into Autzen Stadium for an SEC vs. Pac 12 battle. Tennessee Volunteers vs. Oregon Ducks Pick (9/14 at 3:30PM EST)

Saturday SEC Clash: The top ranked Tide roll into College Station to do battle with Johnny football and crew. This game doesn't offer a ton of wagering value but who has the nads to go against Nick Saban and his finely tuned football machine? Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas A&M Aggies Pick. (9/14 at 3:30PM EST)

Friday Night Lights: The general consensus early on is that Boise St. isn't that good. They got drubbed at Washington which has turned bettors sour against them. Washington is on the rise, so I wouldn't put too much stock in that loss. Furthermore, the Broncs are playing a Air Force team that can't pass the ball. AF is likely to get down early and not have the tools to make a comeback. Loot says don't give up on Boise yet! Air Force Falcons vs. Boise State Broncos Pick. (9/13 at 8PM EST)

Thursday Night College Football: TCU suffered a huge blow when they lost QB Casey Pachall with a fractured arm. The team is still solid, but Tex. Tech appears to be on the rise behind Kliff Kingsbury. TCU Horned Frogs vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders Pick. (9/12 at 7:30PM EST)

Week 2 Dandy: When I think about a Notre Dame/Michigan matchup, I envision a tightly fought battle down to the wire. It's almost inevitable as this is what this matchup has turned into over the past few years. One of these teams is overrated and one is underrated. Find out which is which right here: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Michigan Wolverines Pick (9/7 at 8PM EST)

Saturday SEC Clash: Many picked the Georgia Bulldogs as a National Championship contender prior to the start of the season. Now, going into week 2, the team is facing a possible 0-2 start. South Carolina looks GOOD. South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Georgia Bulldogs Pick (9/7 at 4:30PM EST)

Quack Attack: Nobody was surprised by Oregon's dismantling of tiny Nicholls State last weekend. The Ducks get a much stiffer test as they head far east to take on a Virginia Cavs team in rebuilding mode. Oregon Ducks vs. Virginia Cavaliers Pick (9/7 at 3:30PM EST)

Renewed Rivarly: The bad blood between these teams has blown over as they haven't faced each other in 5 years but you better believe it won't take long to reach a boiling point. Our take on this game is sure to surprise you! Florida Gators vs. Miami Hurricanes Pick (9/7 at Noon EST)

Friday Night Lights: Two less than stellar teams take the field Friday night to battle it out. Why the NCAA scheduled this one for a prime time nationally televised game is beyond us, but then again, the worst game of football is better than the best day of doing anything else. Right? The better defense should prevail in this one. Check out Loot's take right here: Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Boston College Eagles Pick (9/6 at 8PM EST)

Monday Night Football! FSU lost a ton to the NFL but will reload as usual. Pitt also lost quite a bit but their picture isn't quite as clear. Nonetheless, this game has some awesome wagering value! Florida State Seminoles vs. Pittsburgh Panthers Pick. (9/2 at 8PM EST)

Sunday College Football: Teddy Bridgewager sure looked good last season, but the jury is still out on whether or not he's worthy of all the merit the press is giving him. The Cards have a powerful 1-2 punch with RB Michael Dyer as well, making them tough to defense. Ohio is "up against it" in this matchup but with a point spread of 3 scores, the value just may be with the Bobcats and Mickey Tettleton's kid. Ohio Bobcats vs. Louisville Cardinals Pick (9/1 at 3:30PM EST)

12 vs. 20: The 12th ranked Louisiana State Tigers take on the 20th ranked Texas Christian Horned Frogs in what we believe is one of the best games of the weekend. LSU Tigers vs. TCU Horned Frogs Pick (8/31 at 8PM EST)

Bug Meets Windshield? There is absolutely no question that THE Ohio State University will beat up the Buffalo Bulls on Saturday. The point spread equation isn't quite as clear though... College football favorites of over 32 points have historically only covered around 33% of the time. Something to think about before calling this bug meets windshield matchup a lock! Buffalo Bulls vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Pick. (8/31 at 12PM EST)

Heisman Hopfuls Duel: Aaron Murray and Tahj Boyd go at it in a thrilling week 1 matchup in which both teams are loaded on offense. Georgia Bulldogs vs. Clemson Tigers Pick (8/31 at 8PM EST).

Early Season Clash: Two of the nation's best head coaches and stellar defenses go at it in an excellent week 1 matchup! Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Pick (8/31 at 5:30PM EST).

Friday CFB Action: We didn't do a preview for this game but we're very high on the Texas Tech Red Raiders tonight at -4.5. SMU won't be able to stop them! - 8/30

College Football Betting Advice: ESPN highlights are filled with 50 yard bombs, screen plays for long gainers and long runs of course. Defense seems to get swept under the rug and given no attention. Look asks readers to be objective in order to avoid the mistake of over-emphasizing offense.

Worth a Look: Loot points out a handful of teams who aren't getting any respect in the media that could make some noise in 2013. Potential Surprise College Football Teams in 2013.

Waste of Time: If you polled 100 sports bettors, the general consensus would be that home field advantage holds some weight in college football gambling. If you polled 100 wiseguys, you'd be hard pressed to find one guy who gave a hoot about the HFA. Betting Myths and Fallacies.

Underrated: You won't hear much being said of the Stanford Cardinal in BCS National Championship talks. The truth is, there's actually some value here at 16/1 odds. David Shaw may be the most underrated coach in all of college football. 2013 Stanford Cardinal Season Preview.

Lofty Favorites: With all of the negative offseason press surrounding "Johnny Football", one has to wonder if the Aggies will have enough gas left in the tank to live up to their expectations. At 9-1 odds to win it all, Vegas seems to be overvaluing this squad. 2013 Texas A&M Aggies Season Preview..

Something to Prove: Many are writing off the Louisiana St. Tigers this year as evidenced by their 18/1 odds to win the BCS Championship. The team always seems to have stellar defense. It's offense that is the problem. Look for Cam Cameron to pump some life into Zach Mettenberger and crew. 2013 LSU Tigers Season Preview.

Bowl Eligible: Urban Meyer's squad put together an undefeated season in 2012 but weren't bowl eligible. Look for more of the same this season as Meyer may be the second best coach in college football behind Bama's Nick Saban. The guy flat out knows how to coach and get the best out of his players as evidenced by his success when he was with tiny Utah. Braxton Miller returns and will lead the team as well as contend for the Heisman Trophy. Check out Loot's 2013 Ohio State Buckeyes Season Preview.

Ducks Still Mighty? Many wonder if the "Quack Attack" will be back after losing head coach Chip Kelly to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. The team is in good hands with Mark Helfrich who is very familiar with the team as he was their offensive coordinator last season. 2013 Oregon Ducks Season Preview.

Don't Overlook the 2013 Georgia Bulldogs! This team almost made it to the big game and may be more motivated than any team in the country. The team returns star QB Aaron Murray and his high scoring offense. Georgia Bulldogs Preview.

Favored to Repeat: You'll be hearing Roll Tide! often year as they look unbeatable. Nick Saban really is a genius and I'm convinced that this guy could take any group of players and make them competitive on the national level. Alabama Crimson Tide Season Preview.

Sniffing For Value: If you want to make money in college football betting, you'll need to think like a contrarian and focus on unranked teams outside of the top 25. Preseason Signs That a Team Will Cover Spreads.

Wagering Value: Loot takes a look at 2013 underrated teams that should provide some point spread value early on in the season.

BCS Championship Probables: The 2013/2014 NCAA football season is likely to provide some really dominant teams. Loot gives brief insight on which teams are likely to find themselves in the championship game at season's end.

Teams on the Move: Where will your team be playing this season? Loot breaks down college football conference realignment for the 2013 season.
