NFL Defensive Backs on New Teams for the 2018 Football Season

David Amerson (Kansas City Chiefs): Amerson, 26, the former starting corner for the Redskins and Raiders, stays in the AFC West and looks to fill in a void left with the departure of some key Chiefs' secondary members.
Johnson Bademosi (Houston Texans): With six starts in the last two seasons, Bademosi, 28, has been getting more play and looks to crack the rotation with the Texans.
Bene Benwickere (Arizona Cardinals): After three decent seasons with the Panthers, the 26-year old corner didn't get much play with the Cowboys last season and looks to jump-start his career with the Cardinals.
Nat Berhe (Pittsburgh Steelers): With just two starts in his first three seasons with the Giants, Berhe looks to contribute to a Steelers team that has some voids at safety.
Justin Bethel (Atlanta Falcons): Toward the end of his 6-year run with the Cardinals, the 28-year old Bethel had become a useful part of the secondary. He looks for more of the same with the Falcons.
Tramaine Brock (Denver Broncos): The corner caught on with the 49ers in his last few seasons, before going to the Vikings last season and not getting much play. Pushing 30, he looks for another run with the Broncos.
Morgan Burnett (Pittsburgh Steelers): With some voids at safety, the Steelers sign the 29-year old Burnett, who had some standout moments in his eight seasons with the Packers.
Rafael Bush (Buffalo Bills): His return to the Saints in 2017 didn't produce much fireworks. The 31-year old safety comes to the Bills and tries to make an impact.

Malcolm Butler (Tennessee Titans): A well-regarded corner who played well for four seasons with the Patriots now comes to the Titans to give Tennessee's exciting secondary more teeth.
Don Carey (Jacksonville Jaguars): At 31 and after 7 seasons with the Lions, Carey tries to make a mark with the Jaguars in 2018 as a DB.
Ross Cockrell (Carolina Panthers): In his fifth season, Cockrell will be with his 4th team in 2018, joining the Panthers and trying to catch on as a corner.
Kurt Coleman (New Orleans Saints): Coming off a non-impactful 2017 season with the Panthers, Coleman looks to rediscover his difference-making ability as a safety on the Saints.
Aaron Colvin (Houston Texans): A valued piece of manpower at corner, the Texans were able to keep Colvin in the division after four seasons with the Jaguars.
Su'a Cravens (Denver Broncos): Things got a little sideways with Cravens and the Redskins last season and the former USC standout looks for a fresh start as a safety on Denver's secondary.
Cody Davis (Jacksonville Jaguars): After five seasons on the Rams, the safety looks to put some wins in his sails with the Jaguars. He has five starts in five seasons.
Vontae Davis (Buffalo Bills): At 30, Davis looks to stay healthy after injuries messed up his 2017 campaign. If he can still bring it like he used to, he could be a big factor in the Buffalo secondary.
EJ Gaines (Cleveland Browns): The fourth year corner has started 36 games in his first three seasons and looks to become a big part of Cleveland's up-and-coming defense.
Phillip Gaines (Buffalo Bills): In four seasons with the Chiefs, he got 16 starts and looks to catch on with Buffalo in their new-look secondary.
William Gay (New York Giants): Coming off a decade with the Steelers, the 33-year old has played in every game and looks to make an impact with the Giants in 2018.
Marcus Gilchrist (Oakland Raiders): A serviceable safety entering his eighth season, Gilchrist returns to the AFC West and tries to make a mark with a revamped Oakland secondary.
Robert Golden (Kansas City Chiefs): The 28-year old safety is coming off a 6-season run with the Steelers, where he became a spot-starter toward the end of his tenure. With some vacancies in the Chiefs' secondary, Golden looks to catch on in Arrowhead.
Leon Hall (Oakland Raiders): The former Vista High standout might not be what he once was, but even at 33, he can still be useful and moves over to Oakland after a season with the nearby Niners in 2017.
DJ Hayden (Jacksonville Jaguars): It hasn't really worked out for the former first-round pick, but at 28, he looks to become a useful part of the Jaguars' secondary in 2018.
Dontae Johnson (Seattle Seahawks): A free safety coming off four seasons with the Niners, he remains in the NFC West and tries to become a key part of the Seahawks' new-look secondary in 2018.
Trumaine Johnson (New York Jets): Following a 6-year run as a solid corner with the Rams, Johnson looks to give the Jets a shot in the arm in his first season in New York in 2018.
Tyrann Mathieu (Houston Texans): Still only 26, Mathieu had started tailing off a bit toward the end of his five-season run with the Cardinals and looks to rediscover his Pro Bowl form with the Texans in 2018.
Jason McCourty (New England Patriots): After 8 seasons with the Titans and spending last season with the Browns, McCourty joins his twin brother Devin with the Patriots in 2018.
Rashaan Melvin (Oakland Raiders): After two seasons with Indy where he started 19 games, the talented corner looks to become a key cog in Oakland's new secondary.
Terrance Mitchell (Cleveland Browns): The journeyman picked off four passes in 9 starts with the Chiefs last season and looks to ride that momentum into Cleveland in the 2018 season.
Kai Nacua (Baltimore Ravens): After spending his rookie season in Cleveland in 2017, the former BYU standout looks to catch on with the Ravens in 2018.
Ron Parker (Atlanta Falcons): After cementing himself as a useful starting corner for the Chiefs over the past four seasons, the 30-year old Parker looks to become a big part of Atlanta's defense moving forward.
Marcus Peters (Los Angeles Rams): One of the bigger-name pickups in the offseason, the Rams look to give their secondary a big boost. Peters, still only 25, had 19 picks in his first three seasons with the Chiefs and now returns to his native state of California.
Damarious Randall (Cleveland Browns): Erratic in his first three seasons with the Packers, he was also a difference-maker and looks to lend some of that game-changing ability to a rising Cleveland defensive unit.
Curtis Riley (New York Giants): Still young, Riley never quite caught on with the Titans and now looks for a fresh start with the Giants.
Patrick Robinson (New Orleans Saints): A key part of the Eagles Super Bowl-winning season, Robinson returns to the Saints, where he spent the first five seasons of his career. Robinson had four picks last season.
Orlando Scandrick (Washington Redskins): The 31-year old remains in the NFC East following a 9-season run with the Cowboys. The talented corner looks to make an impact with the Redskins.
Da'Norris Searcy (Carolina Panthers): The 8th-year strong safety comes to Carolina to fill a void following four seasons with Buffalo and three with the Titans.
DaShawn Shead (Detroit Lions): Injuries sidetracked Shead last season, just as he was rising up the ranks in the now-defunct Legion of Boom. He now looks to flower in Detroit at 29.
Richard Sherman (San Francisco 49ers): After seven standout seasons with the Seahawks as one of the more high profile corners in the league, Sherman remains in the NFC West and looks for the beginning of a second successful act in San Francisco.
Sam Shields (Los Angeles Rams): At 30 and after injuries wrecked his 2017 season, the corner looks to catch on with the new-look Rams' secondary.
Aqib Talib (Los Angeles Rams): Another high-profile pickup for the Rams' secondary, Talib is 32 and entering his 11th season. But coming off his fifth straight Pro Bowl selection, he looks to give the Rams some big-time juice at cornerback.
Jamar Taylor (Arizona Cardinals): The former Helix High standout became a big part of the Browns' secondary, starting 29 games at corner over the last two seasons. He now looks to cement himself with the Cardinals.
Michael Thomas (New York Giants): After five seasons with the Dolphins, the useful safety looks to make an impact with the Giants.
Jaylen Watkins (Los Angeles Chargers): After four seasons where he started just five games for the Eagles, the 26-year old comes to the Chargers.
JJ Wilcox (New York Jets): After 4 seasons with the Cowboys and one with the Steelers, Wilcox looks to cement himself as a key member of the Jets' revamped secondary.
Tramon Williams (Green Bay Packers): At 35 and after three seasons away, Williams returns to Green Bay. The former Pro Bowler might be up there, but has still shown to be a useful weapon.
Daryl Worley (Oakland Raiders): Following two seasons with the Panthers, Worley, still only 23, comes to Oakland where he looks to make a splash with a reconstructed Raiders' secondary.
Shareece Wright (Oakland Raiders): Yet another new piece on the Raiders' secondary, Wright has 48 starts in the past five seasons at corner and now looks to crack the Oakland rotation in 2018.
