Week 4 NFL Lines
Week four is upon us in the NFL season. The first three weeks had a typical amount of thrills and upsets. There is some weird stuff going on, with some contenders starting off slow, with bad teams from last season getting an early leg-up. As far as winless teams, there are only four remaining with New Orleans, Chicago, Jacksonville, and Cleveland still searching for their first win. As far as unbeaten teams through three weeks, there are five—Denver, Baltimore, Minnesota, Philadelphia, and New England.
Of the unbeaten teams, Philadelphia and Baltimore stand out as the two main surprises. And surprise has been a big part of the first three weeks. In week three, the Eagles were 3.5-point dogs and beat the Steelers by 31, making the spread off by almost 35 points. The Patriots beat the Texans by 27 in a pick-'em. The 5-point favorite Arizona Cardinals lost by 15 to the Bills. Denver, a 3.5-point dog, beat the Bengals by 12. The Vikings also won by 12, beating the Carolina Panthers, who were favored by 6 points. The list goes on. It tells a story of a league that is producing wild results from week to week.
A lot of pivotal games litter the schedule this week. Several leading contenders are already facing must-win situations, or at the very least really-need-to-win games. Cincinnati, Indy, Carolina, and Arizona are 1-2 and will be gunning hard to not fall to 1-3. This should be an eventful week of games. Let's take a look at the point spreads and totals for this week!
